The John P. Timmerman Company was incorporated in 1960 by John P. Timmerman at the same site, 328 E. Kibby Street, Lima, Ohio 45804, where his father, J. Paul Timmerman, founded and operated the Peerless Coal Company from 1919 to 1960.

The primary business was installation and service of coal, oil, propane gas, and natural gas furnaces. Air conditioning and other related products were added gradually. The sale of coal ended in 1972.

Under present ownership since 2001, the Company has continued the sale and service of furnaces and air conditioners and has added other related products such as heat pumps, geothermal heating and air conditioning systems, boilers, geo-thermals, tankless water heaters, indoor air quality products such as whole house humidifiers, high efficiency air filtration systems, air purification systems, and air duct cleaning and sanitizing. We offer 24/7 emergency service at no overtime charge.

After a severe ice storm in January 2005, in which many were without electricity, the Company began selling, installing, and servicing Guardian whole house generators as manufactured by Generac and is currently a factory trained and authorized dealer.

The present management team is composed of Jeff Wiggs, President and Sales, employed since 1996, Dee Watson, Controller, employed since 2006, and Todd Clark, Field Operations Manager, employed since 2015.

The Company purchased and occupy the present location at 4563 Elida Road, Elida, Ohio 45807, January 2012. Prior to this, facilities had been leased.

Our business plan has been to diversify product and service and offer them at competitive prices. Not charging overtime rates, while providing expert and reliable service, is an example of this commitment. The growth of our Company has been rewarding and is evidenced by the number of maintenance contracts which presently stand at over two thousand.

With a staff of well-trained, dedicated, drug-free employees, along with a diversified product offering, good customer acceptance, and a good sense by management of where we have been and where we are going, we feel that the John P. Timmerman Company is well positioned to meet market challenges and to continue to be successful.
