Residential HVAC Installation & Service

Who wants to think or worry about their heating or cooling system once the weather turns? You want your home, and more importantly your family, to be prepared. With a safe and reliable RUUD gas furnace or air conditioner powering your home’s warmth and cooling, RUUD has got you covered for many years to come. Our RUUD products deliver maximum comfort, efficiency, and functionality with the most innovative and reliable features available.

We offer installation of heating and air conditioning for any size, shape, or type of home. A split-system home comfort system uses an outdoor (air conditioner or heat pump) and indoor (gas furnace, air handler or oil furnace) to deliver comfortable air to a living environment.

How do you choose the right HVAC system for your home? What’s the difference between an air conditioner and a heat pump, and how do I know which system I need? The chances are you’ve probably asked yourself (or Google) those questions. Our professional sales team at John P. Timmerman Co. can assist you in selecting the right system for your home.

Lower energy bills, easier on the planet
Navien condensing stainless steel heat exchangers recover extra heat that would be lost in non-condensing boilers. The result is a reduction in energy consumption, lower CO2 emissions and low exhaust temperatures allowing the use of less expensive venting materials such as Schedule 40 PVC.

A geothermal heat pump is the greenest, most efficient, and most cost effective heating & cooling system available. That’s because it uses the free renewable solar energy stored in your backyard rather than burning fossil fuels. But what’s really impressive is the level of comfort it provides. Our systems operate for longer periods at lower speeds, making the home consistently comfortable all year round. You have to experience it to believe it.

WaterFurnace geothermal heat pumps provide forced air heating, air conditioning, and can even generate a portion of your home’s hot water—all from a single unit. One piece of equipment replaces your outdated fossil fuel furnace and loud inefficient outdoor air conditioner.

Heating and Cooling Maintenance Is a Wise Investment

Broken furnace on the coldest day? Wondering what that weird rattling sound is? Tired of your furnace limping from one day to the next? You may need expert heating repair. At John P. Timmerman Co., we have been providing quality repair for all furnace brands since 1960. If you have a problem, our experienced service technicians have the solution.

Signs you need furnace repair:

When you have a heating repair issue, you do not want to spend a lot of time trying to figure out what the issue is. At John P. Timmerman Co., we know your furnace often gives you a lot of signs something is wrong before it quits. If you rely on your senses to tell you how your furnace is doing, you might discover concerns before they turn disastrous.

Look for these red flags:

  • Inconsistent heating: If some rooms are freezing and others are boiling hot, you may be experiencing or dealing with poorly designed duct work, a blower malfunction, or a furnace that is undersized for your home.

  • High heating bills: Skyrocketing energy usage is an indication that your furnace is working too hard.

  • Ineffective heating: The furnace may be turning off prematurely due to damage somewhere in the process.

  • Rattling, grinding or screeching noises: Components may come loose and rattle inside the equipment.

  • Detection of gas: Fuel connections may be loose, damaged, or you may have a cracked heat exchanger. CO gas is a common occurrence from these issues and a leak could be harmful to your health.

  • System will not turn on: Unless you accidentally flipped a circuit breaker or turned off the pilot light, this could show that your furnace is in bigger trouble.

  • Furnace is 10 to 15-plus years old: Equipment nearing the end of its natural life span often needs more maintenance and repair.

We know there is never a good time to need air conditioner repair. For over 60 years, we have made home comfort our singular goal. If you have a problem with your air conditioning, you can reach out to us. We service all brands, so we can quickly ascertain the problem and walk you through the possible solutions for quality A/C repair.

Signs you need air conditioning repair:

At John P. Timmerman Co., we know sometimes it’s difficult to tell when your A/C is about to stop working. When it comes to air conditioner servicing, call us as soon as you spot one of these signs:

  • Constantly turning on and off: Air conditioners turn on several times an hour. If they turn off before reaching the right temperature, there is a fault in the system.

  • Energy use is rising: If your electric/cooling bills are increasing without a corresponding rise in outside temperature, you need to learn why.

  • Poor humidity control: Air conditioning is supposed to manage humidity as well as temperature. If your walls feel damp, your system might not be operating correctly.

  • Loud, acute noises during operation: Every A/C makes a little noise, but grinding, screeching or rattling sounds are not normal.

  • Ineffective cooling: If your home is not as cool as it should be or was previously, trust your instincts and request a system diagnosis.

  • Dripping water below evaporator coil: This part of your A/C can literally freeze if it gets dirty. Prolonging the problem could damage the coil or overwork other components.

  • A/C will not turn on: A sure sign you need air conditioning repair service is when your air conditioner won’t turn on. A system that will not operate when the thermostat triggers it may need A/C servicing.

If we discover a problem during our inspection, we can walk you through the necessary fixes. Early detection could allow us to solve the problem before it turns into a more expensive repair or replacement. If your heating and cooling equipment is getting up in years, we can help sort your replacement choices in a low-stress environment.
